International Art Competition "Nature"

Contemporary Art Room Gallery seeks entries for an international online art competition. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The Nature theme may include everything that is nature related, (landscapes, seascapes, skies, world of flora and fauna, etc). A variety of interpretations of nature theme can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. Winning artwork (first place) will be on the poster of the show. Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, Special Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards may also be presented. Fee is $15 for 2 images of artwork. Domesticity - Group Photography Exhibition

Domesticity is a primarily household act, an activity and chore with devotion to family and home life, one in which we do with pleasure to sustain life with the personal characteristics that makes it our own. The Photographic Performance 2018

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas invites photographers to submit compelling solo or cooperative exhibitions. Three exhibition proposals will be selected to be exhibited in the Salon from either April 20 to May 20, May 25 to June 24, or June 29 to July 29. Arte Corajosa, Celebrating Azorean Creativity, Juried Exhibit

14th Annual International Call for Small Works

Every year Manifest in Cincinnati, Ohio produces an exhibit of little works of art from around the world. Each iteration of the exhibit brings in hundreds of powerful yet diminutive works for our jury to consider. Inevitably we end up with a gallery full of diverse, compelling, and exquisite little gems. Manifest's patrons eagerly await the Magnitude Seven event each year. This annual project is one of the most varied exhibits in our season. So we are always excited to offer this call to artists to submit works no larger than seven inches in any dimension (any proportion). Photographic call for entry "still life"

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition. Who is eligible for The Hopper Prize?
Any artist over the age of 18 is eligible to win The Hopper Prize There are no restrictions on who can apply.

Are the awards open to international artists?
Yes, the awards are open to artists residing internationally.

How much are individual artist awards from The Hopper Prize?
A total of $5,000.00 will be equally distributed to artists.
5 artists will each receive $1,000.00 USD.

1 – Visit the Apply section and select how many images you would like to submit.

2 – Pay your submission fee via Paypal.

3 – After your payment is complete, you will be directed to an online application form.

4 – Use the form to upload JPGs of your work. You will have the option to include title, date, medium, and size for all work submitted.

Do I need to submit a resume?
No. The Hopper Prize winners will be selected based on the quality of their work, not their CV. The application does not require a resume or biography.

I have more work I want to share, can I apply more than once?
Yes. You can apply as many times as you like as long as you have enough great work and can afford to pay multiple entry fees.

How should my images be formatted?
Images must be JPG format
JPG files should not exceed 1920 pixels on the longest dimension
JPGs may not exceed 1 megabyte

Can I submit video art or documentation of performance art?
Yes. Artists working in all media are eligible to apply. The application form has an option to include links to video based art hosted on services like Youtube, Vimeo, or your own website.

I work with a collaborative team or artist duo, are we eligible?
Yes. You can apply as a team or collaborative project. Artists collectives are also encouraged to participate.

I only recently started making art, can I still apply?
Yes. Young, emerging, student, and aspiring artists are encouraged to apply. The Hopper Prize is a great opportunity for career advancement for artists of all ages and experience levels. Anyone can potentially be a winner because the selection will be based exclusively on the quality of work submitted.

Is there an application fee?
Yes. There is a non-refundable application fee based on the number of images submitted:
$40 for 4 images
$60 for 8 images
$80 for 15 images

Is a Paypal account required?
No. You do not need a Paypal account to participate. If you do not have one, simply checkout as guest.

How do I know my work will look good to the jurors?
Contemporary art curators are accustomed to viewing art on computer screens. It is a part of their daily job.

When is my application due?
Deadline: May 15, 2018

When will winners be notified?
Winners will be notified approximately 1 month after the submission deadline (on or about June 15, 2018, depending on how long the jurors need to review your work).

When should I apply?
As soon as possible–we will be featuring applicant's work on instagram @hopperprize. The earlier you submit, the higher your chances are of being featured.

My application isn't ready, can I have an extension on the deadline?
Unfortunately, applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered for the competition. It is best to submit your work prior to the deadline to ensure full consideration.

Are there any requirements for prize winners?
The Hopper Prize provides unrestricted cash grants directly to artists. Winners may use their grants for any purpose, there are no restrictions.

How many artists will be published?
30 artists will have their work published at hopperprize.org.

Who is eligible for The Hopper Prize?
All artists are eligible to win. Our curators will select work from all cultures, all points of view, with no age limits to who can apply.

I live outside of the US - am I still eligible?
Yes. All artists are encouraged to apply.

Are there restrictions on media, or can any artist apply?
The awards are open to all artists.
We encourage applications from painters, photographers, sculptors, digital artists, performance artists, experimental genres, filmmakers, and more.

Can I get a refund for my application fee?
No. Application fees are non-refundable.

Can I change my application after I submit my images?
Unfortunatley, our current system does not allow for changes to be made to your application once your images have been submitted.

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced in Summer 2018, shortly after the competition.

I haven’t received notification about the status of my application, should I contact The Hopper Prize?
Applicants will be notified via email whether or not they have received an award. Unfortunately we cannot provide information about individual application status prior to the notification date.
